In Detail
ZooSafari was a great day out, apart from the rain that you may notice in some photos. Luckily that mainly fell while we were driving around the safaripark (car required as some animals will eat you).
Get a ticket at the main gate and this covers almost everything, sections are punched down the side so you can tell where you still havn't been. We started with the drive around the safari park and took our time partly waiting for the weather to improve but mainly to get a proper look at the wide variety of animals.
After that we went on foot into the rest of the park where there are plenty more animals to see as well as a reptile house, butterflies and exotic birds. We also watched the sealion show but this does not seem to be on the current programme.
Next was a monorail trip to the 'lake of large mammals' and then a ride in a very well caged 'train' to see the 'monkey village'.
After a bit of lunch it was time for the rides to open, we went off season and midweek so it was very quiet and most rides were opened just for us. Which was very nice.
Rides were the only thing not included in the ticket but €8 gets you onto 6 rides (or €2 each). These 6 ride tickets can be exchanged and used by groups as well and we had plenty of fun and still ended up with 2 left over.
