Alberobello is a nearby local town famed for its high concentration of Trullo. It also has a trulli church and an especially rare two storey trulli.
It's well worth a visit as it is a lovely place to wander around for an hour or so, and if you're after souvenirs there are plenty of shops for ornaments and local wines and liquers. In one shop trullo are hand made as you watch.
