In Detail
There are many beaches in the area. Most stretches are privately owned so a payment is required to use them for the day. This usually at least covers parking for the day (sometimes shaded so your car doesn't turn into an oven), but more importantly these are clean stretches of beach with ice cream, drinks and umbrellas in easy reach.
There are public stretches but from our experience so far these tend not to be so clean. If we find any good ones we'll list them here though.
